Ingredients:
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) maple syrup
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) balsamic vinegar
- 8 frozen Quebec strawberries, halved, from Bleu & Bon
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) pecan pieces
- 1 (350g) double cream brie
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) small fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a saucepan, bring the maple syrup and balsamic vinegar to a boil over medium heat. Simmer for 10 minutes over low heat until a syrupy mixture is obtained. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the strawberries with the pecans.
- Place the brie in a brie baker or a small baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Spread the strawberry and pecan mixture over the cheese. Drizzle with the maple syrup mixture. Continue baking for 5 minutes.
- When removed from the oven, sprinkle the brie with basil leaves.
